Privacy Policy

We do not read the contents of your notes, calculations, variables, conversions, sketches, voice clips, or images. That content is stored in SwiftData on your device and synced through your own private iCloud (see Sync), which we cannot access.

We do not run analytics, crash trackers, or advertising SDKs. There is no third-party telemetry inside the app.

The TextCalc Pro one-time purchase ($5.99) is processed entirely by Apple's StoreKit. We never see your name, email, payment method, or any other identifying information. We receive only the entitlement signal from StoreKit telling the app whether you've purchased Pro.

When you write a currency conversion (e.g. 10 usd to eur), the app fetches the latest exchange rates from a public foreign exchange API and caches them on device. The request includes only standard HTTP metadata (user agent, IP). The provider's privacy policy applies to that request.

On devices that support Apple Intelligence, selecting text and using Writing Tools (rewrite, proofread, summarize) is handled entirely by Apple. The selected text is passed to the system Writing Tools API. Apple's privacy policy governs that processing.

TextCalc uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your notes, attachments, sketches, voice clips, and settings across devices signed into the same Apple ID. This content is stored in your private iCloud database, governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy. We operate no servers in this path and cannot read it.

Your notes are also included in standard iOS device backups (iCloud Backup or encrypted Finder backup) if you have those enabled. Those backups are managed by iOS, not by us.

Signing in with Apple is optional. It lets your TextCalc Pro entitlement follow you across devices and lets us grant Pro for support. When you sign in, we create a record in our backend (Google Firebase) containing a stable Apple user identifier, your purchase tier, the platform, and timestamps for account creation and last access. If you choose to share them at sign-in, your name and email are stored too.

We use this only for entitlement and support — never for marketing, and we do not sell it. You can remove it any time with Delete Account in Settings, which permanently deletes the record from our servers.

TextCalc is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any personal information about anyone, including children under 13.

If you write to us through the contact form on this website, the message and the email address you provide are delivered to us via Resend. We use that information only to reply to you. We do not add you to any list.

If this policy meaningfully changes, the effective date above is updated and a notice is posted on this page. For ongoing users, no behavior in the app changes silently. Features that handle data are documented here.
